Student publications founded
[edit]Would be good to add this to the entry - When were the student publications created?
current publications:
- Subcity = 1995 (was sweet fm before then for a couple of years)
- GUM = ? (oldest in scotland?)
- Guardian = ?
- GUST = 19?? (oldest in UK)
- qmunicate = 200?
The firstcopy of qmunicate in its current format (ie, news-driven, rather than magazine style) was spring 2004. The name had been around for one or two years longer, but only a couple of publications were produced, both very different from its current fornightly format.
- guu independent = 200?
Session 2004-5, towards the end, probably 05. Now known as GUUi, I think.
old publications:
- gilmorehill globe = ? - ?

Scottish Gaelic
[edit]Would anyone object to me adding the Scottish Gaelic name for the university in the opening sentence? 'Oilthigh Ghlaschu' being the official name in use by the Celtic department. [1] — Preceding unsigned comment added by tcm1707 (talk • contribs)
Entry standards vs entrance requirements
[edit]I changed entry requirements to entry standards. Entry requirements are the grades you need to get onto the course, entry standards measure what qualifications the students have after having confirmed attendance at the university. Here it's reflective of the fact that a lot of people vastly exceed the requirements of their offer. --Caliburn · (Talk · Contribs · CentralAuth · Log) 16:43, 12 September 2022 (UTC)
List of University of Glasgow's notable alumni
[edit]The paragraph lists 8 nobel prizes among them, which doesn't seem correct. I have tried to edit it but my editing was deleted by an anonymous IP. Could someone explain to me why? HerrWarum (talk) 15:27, 14 August 2023 (UTC)
